ALEXANDRA DUKOVA
Alexandra Dukova was born in 2000 in St.Petersburg.
She studied at Surikov Institute, department of Graphics at easel workshop. She graduated with honors from the faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University in the field of Cultural Studies. She studied at Central Saint Martins with concentration in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography. She combines her art practice with work at the State Tretyakov Gallery.

The artist works in the genre of abstraction, in her own technique she creates objects from acrylic sheets. In her works she explores the interaction between material and perception, trying to establish an emotional dialogue between light, space, and the viewer.
She experiments with different processing techniques to achieve the desired effect. The process of creating works begins with sketches and conceptual ideas, afterwards translated into physical form. Each piece requires careful development. Thus paintings become not just visual objects, but a dialogue between light, space and the viewer.

Alexandra's artistic style can be described as modern abstractionism, where form and color serve to convey emotions, ideas and deep feelings. The author strives to discover new ways of comprehending reality, using material that, despite its physical nature, allows to impart emotions and ideas.
